Song Of the Day 02/02/22

Todays song of the day is "Truckin'" by the Grateful Dead. This song is a personal favorite of mine, as it was the first Grateful Dead song I can remember. I was probably 12 or 13 when I first heard this song while watching an episode of That 70s Show (all time sitcom). The line "What a long strange trip it's been" somehow stuck out to me, despite being 13 and having a fairly short and normal trip of life at the time. As I got older, I got more into Grateful Dead and learned about their diehard fans, the "deadheads". Turns out two of my Uncles and one of my Aunts spent some time following the Dead around in the 70s/80s, and I can only imagine the "strange trips" they must have had. Whether you like the Dead or not, you should have this song on your playlist, as it has a catchy chorus, great blues guitar, and solid lyrics to cement this song as a classic.

**PS*** I don't understand why people who would never listen to Grateful Dead *cough Lebron cough* wear the dancing bears merch, but I guess it's not new for people to adopt a culture because Nike sells it. I personally love most Grateful Dead merch, but I'm never sure if the people wearing it are rock fans or just fashion fans.
